Dryness of tapping panel (groove) takes place over a period of time in the course of over-exploitation of rubber trees. This is further aggravated due to tapping on rainy days. Also, some cloned trees are more prone to dryness especially BD and PB clones. Initial Symptoms are an increased yield of watery latex, followed by dry portions of the tapping cut which are darker in color than normal.
At present, the remedy is to rest the affected trees for a period of time. If the panel dries right down to ground level and shows no sign of recovery after rest, a new cut should be opened on the opposite side of the tree.
The problem of bark dryness can be cured and prevented by VITEX two in one formulation. Tree lace of brown bast tree is removed and VITEX is directly applied along the groove with a brush. You will see results with your own eyes. Also application of VITEX is very helpful in normal trees to protect against bark dryness, overall healthiness of the tree and increased yield in general.
Maximizes Latex Yield
VITEX generates high level of latex production which increases the yield. It is advisable to tap the trees the day after the application. You can see the difference in the latex quantity flow even in about 4 hours of application of VITEX.
Unlike stimulants which are currently marketed in rubber industry to generate increase in the latex yield, but apparently tests have proven that their Latex content is more watery and their dried rubber content becomes lower. The reason is very transparent. They simply stimulate the tree to absorb more water from the ground and this leads to latex becoming diluted (which means Dry Rubber Content (DRC) of latex produced using Stimulants is much less).
Whereas on applying VITEX it not only increases production of latex to about 2-3 times at the same time the Dry Rubber Content (DRC) increases approximately 38% or remains the same as before. Post application production will show approximately 38% higher or same amount of DRC / H2o composition as before.
Another major problem with other products is they merely increase the latex production to a certain extent but compromising on health and life of trees. Over-exploitation coupled with use of harmful chemicals which generate diseases and affect health of trees severely.
